Is our planet really dying?
We must be clear about this: “our” planet is dying, but the planet itself will continue to live.
This is more than semantical nitpicking. Earth is, at this moment in its vast history, hospitable to man. It was not always so, and it will not always be so.
In the incomprehensible sweep of time, the planet’s features: climate, atmosphere, chemical composition and geography, will evolve until man can no longer survive here. This may take so long that ultimately it will be our sun cooling and dying that causes the earth to become uninhabitable. However, considering what we ourselves are doing to the planet, it is far more likely that our own activities will change the environment to the point where it Read the rest of this entry »

No CommentsWhat is Blog?
Blog is actually short form for web log and then it was coined as “weblog” by Jorn Barger in 1997. It was until 1999 that the term “blog” got its popularity as both a noun and verb by Peter Merholz who broke “weblog” into we blog at his blog Peterme.com
Then blog usage spread like wildfire starting 1999 and with the evolution of tools available to the large and less technical public, the blogging community escalates to an enormous number. This is shown by Technorati (blog search engine) was tracking more than 106 million blogs until September 2007.
Many blogs share a common function as a textual personal online diary where you can post on an ongoing Read the rest of this entry »

No CommentsBest love poems – Part 1
So much was trivial
Until I saw you
A cool breeze washed over me
My skin tingled
My heart broke
At the same time it came alive
Your eyes captivated me
Pools of liquid fascination
Your skin alabaster smoothness
Divine in every sense
Our first kiss
Magical
Fire swept through me
Excitement was overwhelming
We melted together
Never to part
Held together with an unbreakable bond
Faith in love and each other
Dressed in white
Your beauty was unmatched
Sweaty palms held together
Anticipation mixed with fear
Were we doing right?
No turning back
Loving every second of it
Dancing as if nobody was watching
Tears from your eyes
Of joy and release
Release of dreams into reality
Holding the new life in Read the rest of this entry »

You see her everyday, but you don’t quite know how to approach her. The butterflies in your stomach, and the foot in your mouth, make it hard to get that first impression right. So, you go home and read up on how to impress women. Now that you’ve read some tips, and have some “cool” pick-up lines you’re ready. Right? THIS IS NOT HOW TO WIN A WOMEN’S HEART! Ice breakers are great, but standard pick-up lines are usually insulting to any intelligent woman. And you know the pick-up lines I’m talking about. Every guy knows them. Let’s say you approach a women at work or in a store, and it’s the worst first impression that you have ever made. Read the rest of this entry »

Google’s Own Adsense Tips
Google is at least as interested as you are in having your ads perform well on your site. And they’ve gone to some work to provide the information you need to optimize your AdSense.
What’s fascinating to me is that apparently not everyone bothers to read their tips. And even some that do, fail to apply it.
That said, you need to be aware that simply using their tips doesn’t guarantee successful ads and decent CTR (Click Through Rate). How many times have you heard this? You have to test. You have to try alternatives and see what really works best for you, on your pages, with your content and your visitors. Test, test, test some more. Track Read the rest of this entry »
No CommentsGoogle-Gov’t Impasse Resolved: Well, For Now
The issue of Internet privacy rights in America has been a hot topic of late. The latest flashpoint was a showdown in San Jose, CA pitting the Department of Justice against the giant search engine Google. Essentially, the Department of Justice wants to rewrite and make constitutionally viable the federal Child Online Protection Act of 1998, which was overturned on constitutional grounds in 2004.
A common misconception is that this whole brouhaha stems from a governmental crackdown on child pornography. It isn’t. It’s instead a measure designed to curtail the easy access of material considered “adult” to minors through the Internet. Loosely speaking, this federal act takes search engines to task, at least partially, in shielding Read the rest of this entry »
